Privacy Policy

Jigsaw Project Management Solutions is committed to data security and the fair and transparent processing of personal data. This privacy policy sets out how we treat learner personal data. Personal information is information that (on its own or together with other information) identifies you and is about you. We process data on the instructions of the Awarding Bodies (APM and ILM) as a data processor. In those circumstances our use of data is governed by these organisations and they are known as joint data controllers. These organisations have a separate responsibility to protect your personal data and you can access their data protection and privacy policies on their respective websites.

Jigsaw Project Management Solutions recognises the importance of protecting personal information in all that we do and takes care to meet our legal duties. We put in place all reasonable technical, security and procedural controls required to protect your personal information.

What personal data do we collect?

If you are registering to complete an APM or an ILM course we may collect your name, e-mail address, date of birth, gender and job role. We may collect sensitive data, but only on the basis of your explicit consent.

How do we use your personal data?

We will use your personal data to register you with the relevant Awarding Body for the course/qualification you have chosen. We will use your contact details to provide you with assignment support and advice for the duration of your qualification. If there are any issues, complaints or disputes we will use your contact details for communication purposes.

Who do we share your personal data with?

Your personal data is only shared with the relevant Awarding Body for the qualification you have chosen. We take all reasonable steps to ensure our staff protect your personal data and are aware of their information security obligations.

We limit access to your personal data to those who have a genuine business need to know it. Data may be shared with trusted third parties such as providers of IT services. There will be a contract in place with third parties in relation to the confidentiality and security of any personal data they may have access to.

How long will we keep your personal data?

We will retain your personal data for the duration of your course or registration, whichever is the longer.

Where do we store your personal data and how is it protected?

We take all reasonable steps to protect your personal data from loss or destruction. We have procedures in place to deal with any suspected data security breach. We will notify you and any applicable regulator of a suspected data security breach where we are legally required to do so.

For APM registrations: unfortunately the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. We will do our best to protect your personal data and will use strict procedures and security features to try and prevent unauthorised access.
